THE PEOPLE’S TEAM

[ About ]

Miami United FC was founded with a bold mission:
to give Miami a team that truly belongs to its people.

Over the years, we have built more than just a club : we’ve created a legacy.

defined by titles, iconic players, international connections, and one of the strongest and most loyal communities in the city.

As the oldest soccer club in the City of Miami, our history is rooted in authenticity and resilience. From local pitches to international stages, Miami United has consistently represented the spirit of the city: diverse, competitive, and unapologetically passionate.

We have welcomed players from around the world, including former professionals and rising talents, creating a unique environment where experience meets ambition. This blend has allowed us to compete at a high level while remaining deeply connected to our local community.

But Miami United is more than results and trophies.

We are a platform for opportunity developing players, opening pathways to college and professional football, and building a complete ecosystem that includes academy, reserve teams, and multiple disciplines of the game.

We’ve stayed true to our identity: passionate, united, and forward-thinking.

Our story is not only about soccer it’s about culture, family, opportunity, and the city we proudly represent.

And this is just the beginning.

[ HISTORY ]

More Than a Club.
A Movement Since 2012.

In 2012, at a time when professional soccer had disappeared from the city of Miami, Italian entrepreneur Roberto Saccá took a bold step forward to rebuild what had been lost.

His vision was clear: to create a sustainable, competitive, and community-driven soccer club that would reignite passion for the game and give Miami a true team to believe in again.

From that vision, Miami United FC was born, El Equipo del Pueblo, a club built from the heart of the community, driven by ambition, and defined by identity.

Starting from scratch, Miami United immediately established itself as a winning organization. From the very beginning, the club competed and won in every league it participated in, including NPSL, UPSL, and NSL winning over 30 titles in his history.

A UNIQUE
LEGACY.

Over the years, Miami United has built a unique legacy. The club has developed local talent while welcoming legendary players like Adriano (Brazil) and Julio César “Rambo” De León (Honduras), Ricardo Ade' (Haiti), Sony Norde (Haiti), Diego “Cachete” Morales (Argentina). It has also made its mark globally with international friendlies against elite teams such as Calcio Catania, Brescia Calcio, Boca Juniors, Racing de Avellaneda, River Plate, Peñarol, Olimpia (HON), Pachuca, Fortaleza ES, Motagua FC and Barcelona SC.

Miami United FC is also a proud six-time participant in the prestigious U.S. Open Cup, where it made history in 2018 by becoming the first NPSL club to reach the fourth round, competing against MLS team Orlando City. In November 2023, the team secured its seventh qualification for the 2024 edition after an undefeated qualifying run.

But Miami United is more than just a soccer team — it’s a force for good in the community. Through ongoing work with Autism Soccer, the club supports the development and inclusion of youth with autism, using the game to make a lasting impact off the field.

Today, Miami United FC stands as the oldest active soccer club in the city and a symbol of resilience, passion, and identity in Miami’s sports culture. And we’re just getting started.

Among other international opponents, Miami United FC has played official friendlies against clubs and national teams such as:

  • Inter Miami CF

  • Haiti national football team

  • Montserrat national football team

  • Guatemala national football team

These international friendlies have reinforced Miami United’s identity as a club with global reach and strong international relationships.

In 2024, the club reinforced its reputation with a standout U.S. Open Cup run, proving its competitiveness at a national level.
