Miami United Crowned UPSL Florida South Champions After a Dramatic Final

Miami United moves forward as champions once again

Miami United FC lifted the UPSL Florida South title once again after a thrilling 2–1 victory over Inter Miami CF Academy in a memorable final played at Chase Stadium, in front of a passionate and energetic crowd.

From the opening whistle, Miami United showed their intentions. The team pressed high, played with intensity, and displayed the mentality that has come to define this club in decisive matches. That determination paid off in the first half when Gerónimo Luna broke the deadlock with a superb finish, giving United a deserved 1–0 lead.

The second half saw Miami United continue to create opportunities, controlling large stretches of the game but unable to find the goal that would put the match out of reach. As football so often proves, missed chances can quickly change the story.

Inter Miami CF Academy was awarded a penalty, but goalkeeper Cristian Blanco produced an outstanding save to keep United in front. Unfortunately, the rebound fell kindly for the opposition, who converted to level the match at 1–1. During that same play, Blanco suffered an injury that required medical attention, forcing a long stoppage as an ambulance entered the field. After a 12-minute interruption, the match resumed with both teams pushing for a winner. Deep into stoppage time, in the 99th minute, the moment that defined the final arrived. Sonny Norde delivered a perfect cross into the box, and Nicolás Prada met it with a brilliant right-footed finish to seal a dramatic 2–1 victory for Miami United.

The final whistle confirmed another championship for a club that continues to build a remarkable legacy. Since 2023, Miami United has now secured 31 titles, a testament to the work, passion, and unity shared by players, coaching staff, ownership, and supporters.
