Week Recap: UPSL Season Finale, Playoff Focus & Summer Cup Momentum
Miami FL- Miami United FC closed a packed weekend across multiple competitions, highlighted by the final UPSL regular season match, strong Summer Cup performances, and continued progress from the U23 squad.
UPSL SPRING 2026 REGULAR SEASON — FINAL MATCH
Inter Miami CF Academy 1–2 Miami United FC
The UPSL Spring 2026 regular season came to an end last night with a high-level performance from both sides, in a match played at intense tempo, strong technical quality, and high competitive intensity from start to finish.
Miami United FC took control early, opening the scoring in the first half through Guido Cacciabue, who finished off a brilliant team combination with a precise strike off the post.
Early in the second half, Daniel Daza doubled the advantage after a strong pressing sequence led to a quick transition and a clinical finish.
Inter Miami CF Academy responded midway through the second half, but Miami United showed composure, discipline, and resilience to manage the closing stages and secure all three points.
A complete performance in a demanding environment against a quality opponent, with both teams showing they are fully prepared to compete at playoff level.
REGULAR SEASON WRAP-UP
Miami United FC closes the UPSL Spring regular season in 2nd place, finishing with a record of:
11 Wins — 1 Draw — 1 Loss
Level on points with Florida Badgers, but missing out on the regular season title due to head-to-head results, after having won back-to-back regular season championships in previous seasons.
This is not the result we wanted, nor the result we are accustomed to at Miami United FC. After winning back-to-back UPSL Spring Regular Season Championships over the last two seasons, our standard is always to compete for and win titles.
However, despite the disappointment, there is much to be proud of.
An eleven-match unbeaten run, one of the league's best defensive records, and a group that battled for first place until the final day are all reflections of the commitment, quality, and character within this squad.
Sometimes football is decided by the smallest details. This season was one of them.
The journey does not end here.
Now the focus shifts to the playoffs and the opportunity to continue competing for a championship.
Heads held high. Proud of the journey. Ready for what's next.
